Friday, February 03rd, 2017
GBC Motorsports has set the dates for the 10th Annual GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge. This ATV and UTV endurance race held annually in Carlisle, Iowa is slated for August 18-19, 2017.
“We couldn’t be more excited to return to Iowa this summer for our 10th Annual Heartland Challenge,” commented GBC Motorsports’ Kory Ellis. “This is a milestone not only for us here at GBC but for all of the racers and families that support the event year after year. Together with the Kyner family we’re proud to have built one of the country’s premier endurance events for ATVs and UTVs.”
Drawing competitors and spectators from across the country , the Heartland Challenge offers four unique endurance races for youth and adults. Last year more than 150 teams from 21 states, Canada and the UK competed across 21 classes for trophies, cash payouts and bragging rights.
Professional racer and longtime Heartland Challenge competitor Johnny Gallagher added, “The GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge is an event like no other in ATV racing, and it’s a weekend I look forward to every year. We (Team Yamaha) have been fortunate enough to win a number of times, but to me this event means so much more than a trophy or oversized check. It’s an opportunity to interact with fellow racers and fans in a part of the country we would normally never reach.”
2017 promises to be another big year for the GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge as the 1.5-hour Polaris Ace Challenge, the 4-hour UTV Challenge, the 3-hour Youth ATV Challenge and the 10-hour Adult ATV Challenge will determine the fastest teams and ironman competitors.
